I’ve been selling gourmet foods for over 25 years. My Grandfather Leonard Pines (Founder of Hebrew National Foods) was my idol and he inspired me to start selling quality provisions. The family business was sold to ConAgra Foods back in the late nineties, but I have successfully sold and marketed various gourmet foods over the last decade. Currently helping my busienss partner sell a follow Superfood-Nativo Acai.

On a side noteMy beloved mother- Myrna Chase died of mad cow disease 8 years ago and since then have decided to sell clean, pure organic and natural grass-fed meats. I decided to give the family tradition a new twist by producing one of a kindBison  products, including buffalo and natural beef hot dogs, burgers, Jerky and more. In the  90’s  I have worked with Tony little “Body by Bison” infomercial on Home Shopping Network- together our bison sales have experienced a double digit increase. Through our marketing campaign we have moved more bison hot dogs and burgers then anyone in the country.

How did you come up with the idea?

Grew Up with Hot Royalty- My Grandfather Leonard Pines -founder of Hebrew National® was a legend in the provisions industry Lennie Pines was affectionately called the “Deli King”. He took over a floundering provisions company called “Hebrew National®” during the depression and with his partners and turned the once struggling food company into the most beloved, successful, and recognizable kosher food company in America.

Although his grandfather was barely five feet, he stood tall among the other giants in the industry. He was an honest man who worked hard to create a “Tradition of Quality” ™. Pure National provisions™ will honor Steve’s grandfather’s tradition by combining old world recipes with new world technology and science.

All of Golden Bison Provisions & Meats will have a healthy edge without sacrificing great taste. GBC has set the “gold standard” of quality in the natural meat marketplace. Golden Bison Co™ has trademarked the phrase “Another Generation of Quality Foods” ™ and will position its products to create a consumer experience that supports and reinforces that brand philosophy
It was my grandfather who inspired me to create healthy fast foods. I decided to give the family

tradition a new twist by producing one of kind Bison products and was fortunate to win best new product award at (kosher-fest-2000)… for my Natural Casing Buffalo hot dogs and now I bringing that recipe back non-kosher but same high quality elite meat.

Is there a need for this business?

There are major Problems associated with Processed Meat and many Benefits of Naturally Raised Uncured Grass Fed Meat:

The old saying you are what you eat is so true. For us to be healthy and for our bodies to function properly we require the proper nutrients. Meat is a wonderful source of essential nutrients including protein, vitamins, and minerals. The meat industry however is big business, and like most big business the meat industry’s number one concern unfortunately is profit. With profits being the driving force, large commercial meat processors started using GMO feed and treating animals as well as the harvested meat you buy from the store with several unnatural chemicals. Chemicals, including synthetic hormones, added nitrates, antibiotics, and MSG. These unnatural substances are then ingested and absorbed by our bodies, which can cause several health issues. This is why Golden Bison Co. works with small naturally raised grass fed ranchers across the Midwest.
